<abstract xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>Records of 18 species of the families <italic>Micropezidae</italic> (1 species), <italic>Lonchaeidae</italic> (1 species), <italic>Lauxaniidae</italic> (1 species), <italic>Chamaemyiidae</italic> (6 species), <italic>Agromyzidae</italic> (6 species) and <italic>Chloropidae</italic> (3 species) from glacial sand deposits in the Czech Silesia (NE Czech Republic) are presented and their association with sandy habitats is discussed. All of them are recorded from the Czech Silesia for the first time, 4 are new additions to the fauna of Moravia and 9 for the whole Czech Republic. None of the recorded species is psammobiont but five of them are classified as psammophilous, viz. <italic>Micropeza lateralis</italic> Meigen, 1826 (Micropezidae), <italic>Calliopum geniculatum</italic> (Fabricius, 1805) (Lauxaniidae), <italic>Cerodontha (Xenophytomyza) leptophallus</italic> L. Papp, 2016, <italic>Ophiomyia disordens</italic> Pakalniškis, 1998 (both Agromyzidae), <italic>Aphanotrigonum parahastatum</italic> Dely-Draskovits, 1981 (Chloropidae), and <italic>Leucopis celsa</italic> Tanasijtshuk, 1979 as probably psammophilous. A new easternmost record of <italic>M. lateralis</italic> (from S. Poland: Godów) is presented and the association of this species and <italic>C. geniculatum</italic> with growths of <italic>Cytisus scoparius</italic> is confirmed. <italic>Leucopis monticola</italic> Tanasijtshuk, 1961, <italic>L. celsa</italic> and <italic>A. parahastatum</italic> are recorded from northernmost known localities. These species, and also <italic>C. (X.) leptophallus</italic> seem to be thermophilous and/or xerophilous and can be considered southern elements in the Silesian fauna of Diptera.</p></abstract>
