<abstract xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>For the purpose of lithological analysis the Miocene sedimentary sequences in the Strymon basin, Northern Greece have been observed and described in detail concluding in subdividing them into a new lithostratigraphic shape. These investigations in this analysis, through the study of data of the sedimentary structures and textures led to the interpretation of the depositional environments in the Miocene basin.</p></abstract>
