Introduction

Civic and political construction is one of the important contents of university education. Teachers in higher education institutions shoulder the responsibility of teaching and educating people to achieve consistent and synergistic education in all disciplines, in-depth construction of the ideological and political pattern, the Civic and political education is carried through the daily teaching, improve the content of classroom teaching, update the concept of curriculum teaching, integrate the new era of Internet technology, and gradually improve the quality of students’ moral education [1-3].

Infiltrating the construction of ideology and politics into the teaching of physical education courses is an important initiative to improve ideological and political education in colleges and universities. In any course of higher education, moral education should be part of the teacher’s instruction, and through the teaching of textbook knowledge, students are educated to develop good quality and social responsibility [4-6]. Physical education contains rich resources for quality education, and while teaching sports skills, ways and means of strengthening the body, it is also educating ideology and morality [7-9]. The important value of the construction of ideology and politics is not only for students to receive quality teaching in the physical education classroom but also for students to have a sense of independent learning and to be able to experience the significance of quality teaching through daily lessons [10-11].

University sports courses are different from other courses in the construction of ideology and politics. The use of mobile Internet technology to carry out the practice of ideology and politics teaching can give full play to the role of sports ideology and politics construction and then use multi-faceted teaching methods to achieve moral education construction [12-15]. Utilizing mobile network technology to carry out sports teaching on the Internet platform can not only make students interested in classroom teaching but also make use of students’ fragmented time to carry out course teaching, which in turn greatly improves the teaching effect and makes the construction of Civics and Politics in teaching more meaningful to realize [16-18]. Fully exploiting the ideological and political teaching in classroom education can cultivate college students’ ideological and political inculcation subtly, and cultivate talents with comprehensive development of moral and educational qualities in the new era [19-20].

The study starts from the architectural perspective to build a model of influential factors for the integration of physical education and civic and political education. A questionnaire survey is conducted on physical education teachers and administrators in 30 colleges and universities in a city, and a comparative qualitative method is used to analyse the obtained data with necessary conditions and conditional group state analysis to explore the key influencing factors of the integration of physical education and civic and political education. Taking this as a reference, Internet technology is introduced into the integration of physical education and civic and political education, and the integration strategy of physical education and civic and political education based on Internet technology is proposed from the four dimensions of education concept, education mode, mining of civic and political curriculum elements and education mechanism. Then, the evaluation index system for the integration of physical education and civic and political education is constructed by decomposing the four dimensions of subject background, teaching resources, teaching practice and reflection and development, and the evaluation indexes are combined and empowered by using game theory ideas. Finally, based on the proposed integration strategy to a university as an example to carry out a semester of teaching practice, using a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model, the integration of physical education and Civic and political education in the sample universities of the integrated score and the score of the indicators to measure, in order to assess the effectiveness of the application of the integration strategy of physical education and Civic and political education.

Influential factors for the integration of sport and civic education based on QCA

A cross combination of factors influences the integration of curriculum ideology and politics into physical education teaching, so it is important to start from a holistic perspective and examine the complex causal relationship between multiple influencing variables. As a result, this study adopts QCA to explore different group configurations among the variables, to excavate the influencing factors of the integration of curriculum ideology and politics into physical education teaching, and to provide a basis for the subsequent proposal of strategies for the integration of physical education and ideological and political education in conjunction with Internet technology.

Modelling

The model of influencing factors for the integration of sports and ideological and political education is shown in Figure 1, which selects policy orientation, ideological and political resources, cultivation programme, subject synergy, and perfect mechanism as variables and contains 20 specific factors, such as tapping into the ideological and political elements of the sports curriculum, formulating the strategy of developing curricular resources, and organically integrating the ideological and political aspects of the curriculum with information technology.

Study design
Research methodology

Traditional regression analyses are usually used to study the effect of a single variable (or the interaction of two variables) on an outcome after the exclusion of a control variable set by other factors, and it is usually assumed that “if X → Y, then ~X → ~Y”. However, the occurrence of a particular outcome is often the result of the joint action of multiple factors, and the study of the “net effect” of a single factor often fails to meet the need to explore the influencing factors. The QCA methodology uses set theory and Boolean arithmetic to bridge the gap between qualitative and quantitative methods. Set theory refers to treating the research object as a grouping of different combinations of conditional variables, replacing independent variables with conditional groupings, and replacing net effect with grouping ideas to investigate multiple concurrent causal problems. The main algebraic expressions in Boolean algebra are as follows: [1] means that the variable is “large, present, and high”, [0] means that the variable is “small, absent, and low”, and blank means that the presence (1) or absence (0) of the variable does not affect the result. The main operators used in Boolean algebra include [*]: for logical “and”, [+]: for logical “or”, and [~]: for logical “not”. The link between the condition and the result is represented by [→], which expresses a causal connection. In addition, QCA considers that the variables and the levels of the variables contained in the groupings leading to “Y” and “~Y” may not be the same (causal asymmetry), and QCA is able to capture relationships between variables, such as substitutability, vacancies, etc., as well as distinguishing between core and edge conditions.

According to the different ways of assigning values, QCA is divided into clear set qualitative comparative analysis (csQCA), fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA), and multi-valued set qualitative comparative analysis (mvQCA). Since fsQCA uses continuous values to retain more detailed information about the data, this paper adopts fsQCA to analyse the influencing factors of the integration of sports and ideological and political education, and the software adopts fsqca3.0 for the analysis. It is mainly divided into the following steps:

Assignment and calibration of variables. The raw data for each variable and outcome were calibrated to the corresponding fuzzy set values based on maximizing differences between groups in univariate analysis, combined with consideration of practical implications.

Necessity analysis of individual variables. Calculate the necessity value of the variable which is greater than 0.9. That is, the variable is considered to be a necessary condition of the result (it is a condition that must exist to cause the result to occur, but its existence does not guarantee that the result will occur), and it is one of the constituent parts of the core condition in the grouping.

Histogram analysis and selection. Combining the literature reports with the results of single-factor analysis, selecting the variables that have an impact on the outcome to be included in the group state analysis, and at the same time incorporating the necessary conditions, analysing all the possible combinations of variables, i.e., the group states, and selecting the most appropriate group states by adjusting the number-of-cases threshold and the consistency threshold. The researcher sets the number of cases threshold, and if the number of cases that can reflect the relationship between a combination of variables and the outcome (affiliation greater than 0.5) is greater than the set threshold, then the grouping is related to the outcome. Consistency refers to the stability of the grouping’s influence on the outcome, and should not normally be less than 0.75.

Interpretation of group conditions. The grouping is divided into core and edge conditions, with core conditions being variables that have a primary influence on the outcome and edge conditions being variables that have a secondary impact. The outcome evaluation indicators are consistency (referring to the proportion of cases in which a particular outcome occurs for a given grouping, i.e., the adequacy of a given grouping to produce that outcome) and coverage (coverage in fsQCA refers to the extent to which the grouping explains the outcome).

Data sources

In this study, online and offline questionnaires were distributed to physical education teachers (associate professors and above) and sport-related administrators in 30 colleges and universities in a certain city, and 117 valid questionnaires were finally collected. In order to improve the validity of the study, based on the basic principle of the “triangulation method”, the data were further screened and cleaned, and 30 highly representative cases were finally selected for QCA analysis.

Findings and analyses

The fuzzy affiliation scores of the research data were imported into the QCA analysis software to analyze the conditional grouping of the influencing factors of the subvariables in each outcome variable. An in-depth study was conducted on the integration of sports and civic education, with reference to the two key indicators of consistency and coverage generated by software analysis.

Analysis of necessary conditions

With the help of fs QCA software on the policy orientation value leading Y1, developing sports ideological resources Y2, developing professional training programmes Y3, multiple subjects collaborative education Y4, improving the mechanism to focus on implementation Y5 Resulting variables grouped to carry out the analysis of the necessary conditions, the results of the necessary conditions detection are shown in Figure 2. The reference value of Consistency is 0.9, if the Consistency of a variable is > 0.9, it indicates that the variable is a necessary condition to directly explain the results. The results show that “mining the elements of the sports programme’s ideology and politics X4” is a necessary condition for the group “developing sports ideology and politics resources Y2”, with a consistency of 0.94.

Conditional configuration analysis

In this study, the intermediate solution (standard analysis) was chosen to discuss the conditional group states, and the PRI consistency threshold was set at 0.75, which was analysed as follows.

Analysis of group states led by policy orientated values

The grouping results of policy oriented value leadership are shown in Table 1, with “●” representing the presence of core conditions, “○” representing the presence of marginal conditions, “⊗” represents the absence of core conditions, and “△” represents the absence of marginal conditions. The core condition plays a key role in the variation of results and appears in both intermediate and simple solutions. However, the edge condition has only limited effect on the variation of results. Same below.

There are five sufficient solutions greater than the PRI threshold of 0.75, covering 93.4% of the policy-oriented value leading case samples, of which solution 3 covers 90.8% of this set of samples. The analysis shows that the national strategic policy documents X1 and the practice of socialist core values X3 are important influencing factors for the integration of curriculum ideology into physical education teaching, but the consolidation of the roots of ideals, beliefs and purposes X2 has not yet become the preferred condition in policy-oriented value leadership.

Analysis of the grouping of resources for developing sports ideology and politics

The grouping results of developing sports ideological and political resources are shown in Table 2. Mining the elements of sports curriculum ideology and politics X4 and formulating a curriculum resource development strategy X5 are important influencing factors for the integration of sports and ideological and political education. 89.5% of the case samples for developing sports ideological and political resources are covered by 5 suitable solutions. Among them, solution 4 covered more than 89.3 per cent of this collection of samples.

Analysis of the configuration of the professional training programme development

The group state results of formulating professional training programme are shown in Table 3. There are 6 sufficient solutions with a total coverage of 82.7%. Deepening the reform of teaching materials and teaching methods X10, organic integration of curriculum Civics and information technology X11 and upgrading the level of university teachers X12 have the greatest impact on the integration of physical education and Civics education.

Group analysis of multiple subjects’ collaborative parenting

The group state results of multiple subjects’ collaborative parenting are shown in Table 4. There are four sufficient solutions greater than the PRI threshold of 0.75, which can explain 87.9% of the cases of multiple subject synergistic parenting. The important influencing factors for the integration of sports and civic education are social school-family synergy X14, teacher-student synergy X15, and the establishment of a leadership mechanism by the party committee of the university X17.

Improvement of the mechanism to invest in the implementation of the group state analysis

The results of the grouping of improving the mechanism to focus on implementation are shown in Table 5. The formation of a multidisciplinary communication and interaction mechanism X18, the improvement of the assessment, incentive and feedback mechanism X19 and the implementation of the objectives and requirements of Civics in the PE curriculum X20 have become important factors in the realisation of the path of Civics integration into PE teaching. The coverage of all five solutions is above 80% with an overall coverage of 87.5%.

Strategies for the integration of sports and civic education based on Internet technology

At present, in the professional education of college sports, there is not only the problem of lack of content and fixed form of college sports ideological and political education but also the incorrect concept of college sports ideological and political education. The emergence of Internet technology can change the dilemma of the lack of resources for the construction of traditional sports education ideology and politics, and transform the traditional sports ideology and politics education concept. Combined with the previous analysis of the factors that affect the integration of sports and ideological and political education, a proposed integration strategy based on Internet technology is proposed. The integration strategy of sports and ideological and political education is shown in Figure 3, which covers four dimensions: establishing correct sports ideological and political education concepts, developing various sports ideological and political education methods, using the Internet to mine the elements of ideology and politics, and creating sports ideological and political education mechanisms.

Figure 3.

The strategy of integration of sports and ideological and political education

Establish the concept of sports ideological education

In order to use Internet technology to promote the education of sports ideology in colleges and universities in the current era, the most important thing is to fundamentally change the traditional teaching concept of sports ideology in colleges and universities and set up a correct concept of sports ideology in colleges and universities in accordance with the changes and development of the times. Sports ideological education should be liberated from the traditional concept of education, catering to the “Internet +” education model, and carry out innovative changes. Colleges and teachers should create attractive and persuasive teaching content based on the new era of ideological education and teaching concepts, use the new way of network education, and take the students as the basis to promote the continuous progress of the ideological education of sports in colleges and universities.

Developing ways to educate on sports ideology and politics

To keep up with the changes of the times to promote the level of ideological education, college sports should not only have advanced ideological education teaching concepts but also develop various forms of college sports ideological education methods based on Internet technology. Should change the traditional sports ideological education mode, abandon the outdated teaching form based on the contemporary ideological education teaching concept, and combine Internet technology with modern ideological education forms. Diversified teaching modes can be applied to college sports ideology education in stages, using multimedia, Internet online interaction, network surveys, online discussion and other forms to stimulate students’ interest in learning and create a high-quality ideology education environment.

Exploiting the Civic and Political Elements of Curriculum Resources

Colleges and teachers must use the Internet to explore the ideological elements embedded in the theoretical and practical teaching of college sports and expand the content of college sports ideological education according to the large number of resources on the Internet. Colleges and universities should strengthen the level of ideological and political theory and the level of application of Internet technology by college physical education teachers through two forms to strengthen the creation of college physical education teachers. One is that you can strengthen the training of physical education teachers regularly and let college physical education teachers receive advanced ideological and political concepts inculcated to enhance the ability of teachers to excavate the elements of ideology and politics and create ideological and political content. The second is to strengthen the teacher’s Internet application level, the use of network training and other forms of teachers continue to strengthen their ability to create a new type of college physical education students, meet the requirements of the students, contain a wealth of ideological and political elements of the physical education programme.

Creating a mechanism for sports ideological education

Colleges and universities should use the Internet to establish a scientific and perfect education mechanism for the ideology and politics of college sports, fully grasp the key advantages brought about by the development of Internet technology, tap the depth of the ideology and politics of college sports courses in a rich form, and integrate the elements of ideology and politics education into the sports courses in depth, so as to improve the ideological and political level of the students subtly. Colleges and universities, according to modern education and teaching concepts, realise the effective synergy of the ideology and politics of college physical education courses with systematic design, establish corresponding teaching feedback mechanisms, form the diversified evaluation of the ideology and politics of college physical education courses with smooth feedback, constantly innovate the application of the construction of the ideology and politics of college physical education courses, and improve the level of the construction of the ideology and politics according to the actual situation of the construction of the ideology and politics of the colleges and universities, according to the purpose and purpose.

Evaluation of the effectiveness of strategies for integrating sport and civic education

Based on the proposed strategy for the integration of sports and ideological and political education under the Internet technology, this chapter provides the establishment of an evaluation index system for the integration of sports and ideological and political education, conducts empirical analyses, and applies the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and assessment method to assess the degree of integration of sports and ideological and political education in order to validate the effectiveness of the strategy for the integration of sports and ideological and political education promoted by the Internet technology.

Construction of evaluation indicators

According to the three main tasks of initial drafting of text analysis, screening of experts’ opinions and statistical optimisation in turn, the evaluation indicators of four dimensions, namely, subject background A, teaching resources B, teaching practice C and reflection development D, are selected, and the four aspects mentioned above are decomposed layer by layer in order to straighten out the logical relationship and hierarchical structure between the evaluation indicators and to ensure the operability of the comprehensive evaluation. Finally, an indicator system for the quality evaluation of the integration of physical education and ideological and political education was developed, which includes 4 first-level indicators, 10 second-level indicators, and 36 third-level indicators.

Assignment of indicator weights
Method of calculating weights

Firstly, the weights of the indicators at all levels for the integration of sports and civic education are calculated by the hierarchical analysis method and entropy weight method respectively, and both methods have unavoidable disadvantages. The hierarchical analysis method is susceptible to the influence of subjective judgment, entropy weight method requires a large amount of data for calculation and verification, so this paper is based on the game theory idea of using MATLAB software to couple the weights determined by hierarchical analysis method and entropy weight method, and calculates the combination of weights, so that the weight value given by each evaluation index is more scientific and reasonable.

The game theory comprehensive weight method combines the characteristics of multiple evaluation index weights to find the optimal solution between multiple evaluation index weights, and the results obtained can minimise the deviation between the weights of each evaluation index, which is representative.

Establish the weight vector set and get the linear combination

Establish the set of weight vectors Wi = {w1;w2}, where w1 represents the set of weight vectors and w2 represents the set of weight vectors. Let β = {β1;β2} be the linear combination coefficient to obtain any linear combination of vectors as shown in equation (1) below: W=β1w1T+β2w2T$$W = {\beta _1}w_1^T + {\beta _2}w_2^T$$

Determine the objective function

According to the idea of the game agglomeration model, for the two linear combinations of coefficients β1 and β2 in Eq. (1) are optimised to minimise the divergence as the goal to get the most reasonable weights, and the objective function formula is shown in Eq. (2): minǁWwiǁ2,i=1,2$$min||W - {w_i}|{|_2},\quad i = 1,2$$

Determine the optimal system of linear equations

Using the matrix differentiation property to transform the above equation equivalently to a system of linear equations with optimised first order derivative conditions, the formula is shown in equation (3) below: [w1w1Tw1w2Tw2w1Tw2w2][β1β2]=[w1w1Tw2w1T]$$\left[ {\begin{array}{*{20}{c}} {{w_1}w_1^T}&{{w_1}w_2^T} \\ {{w_2}w_1^T}&{{w_2}{w_2}} \end{array}} \right]\left[ {\begin{array}{*{20}{c}} {{\beta _1}} \\ {{\beta _2}} \end{array}} \right] = \left[ {\begin{array}{*{20}{c}} {{w_1}w_1^T} \\ {{w_2}w_1^T} \end{array}} \right]$$

Combination assignment

The obtained optimal linear combination coefficients β1 and β2 are normalised to obtain the weights W of the game-theoretic combination assignment, which is shown in equation (4): W=β1w1+β1w2$$W = \beta _1^\prime w_1^\prime + \beta _1^\prime w_2^\prime$$

Style: β1=β1β1+β2;β2=β2β1+β2$$\beta _1^\prime = \frac{{{\beta _1}}}{{{\beta _1} + {\beta _2}}};\beta _2^\prime = \frac{{{\beta _2}}}{{{\beta _1} + {\beta _2}}}$$

Indicator weighting results

Using the game theory combination assignment method from the above formula (1) ~ (5) with the help of MATLAB software to calculate the AHP coefficient and EW coefficient can determine the evaluation system of sports and ideological and political education integration of the combination of indicators weights, sports and ideological and political education integration indicator weights results as shown in Table 6. Teaching practice C is at the core of the first-level indicators, with a weight of 0.4708, which is the focus of the evaluation of the integration of sports and ideological and political education that should be specifically implemented. At the same time, it can also directly reflect the specific and effective assessment of reflective practice D2 (0.1388), teaching expression C4 (0.1357), classroom atmosphere A1 (0.1224), information literacy C2 (0.1154), and nurturing methods C3 (0.1129), which is the main path to achieve the evaluation objective of teaching facilitation and curriculum nurturing measurability, and to promote the development of teachers’ professional ability, Focus on the overall development of students as the main path to achieve the evaluation purpose, while professional ethics C1 (0.1068) and teaching materials B1 (0.0868) are indispensable measures of it.

Empirical analyses

A university in a city was selected as the object of empirical research, and through 1 semester of teaching practice of the integration strategy of sports strategy and ideological-political education based on Internet technology, subjective feedback from teachers and students and objective assessment results were collected, and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method was applied to evaluate the evaluation indexes, so as to gain an in-depth understanding of the integration of sports and ideological-political education.

Fuzzy integrated evaluation model

The so-called fuzzy comprehensive judgement refers to a comprehensive analysis and evaluation of target affairs in combination with the fuzzy transformation principle. There are two steps: first, focus on individual factors to implement the corresponding judgement. Second, focus on all relevant factors to implement the so-called comprehensive judgment.

Establishment of evaluation index items

The factor set (U) is based on the factors that affect the object of the judgement (Ui): U={U1,U2,...,Un}$$U = \{ {U_1},{U_2},...,{U_n}\}$$

Establishing evaluation indicator weights

Usually, different factors correspond to differentiated degrees of importance. In order to realise effective feedback on what degree of importance each factor has, it is necessary to assign weights (weight ωi) to each factor (ui), in which case the weight set Wi can be described by the following formula: W={W1,W2,...,Wn}$$W = \{ {W_1},{W_2},...,{W_n}\}$$

Establishment of evaluation conclusions

The set of alternatives (V), i.e., a series of possible evaluation results given by the evaluator about the object of evaluation is regarded as a set of elements (Vi) and formed as a result, which can be expressed as follows: V={V1,V2,...,Vn}$$V = \{ {V_1},\:{V_2},...,{V_n}\}$$

Single-factor fuzzy judgement

Single-factor fuzzy judgement refers to the judgement of a single factor in the factor set U to determine the degree of affiliation of the subject of the judgement to each element in the set of alternatives. If the object of judgement is judged according to the i factor ui in the factor set, the degree of affiliation to the j rd element vj in the alternative set is rij, then the result of judgement according to the i th factor uj can be expressed by the fuzzy set as follows: Ri=ri1v1+ri2v2++rimvm$${R_i} = \frac{{ri1}}{{v1}} + \frac{{ri2}}{{v2}} + \ldots + \frac{{rim}}{{vm}}$$

Where Ri denotes the one-factor judgement set, which can be simply expressed as: Ri={Ri1,Ri2,...Rim}$${R_i} = \{ {R_{i1}},\:{R_{i2}},...{R_{im}}\}$$

Fuzzy comprehensive judgement

The single-factor fuzzy judgement reflects only the influence of individual factors on the object of judgement, and if you want to judge an object accurately, you also need to consider the influence of each factor comprehensively according to the weight set, so as to make an accurate judgement. Therefore, when the weight set W and the single-factor judgement matrix R are known, a comprehensive judgement can be made by fuzzy transformation: B=WR$$B = W \cdot R$$

To wit: B=(ω1,ω2,...,ωn)[r11r12...r1mr21r22...r2m............rn1rn2...rnm]=b1,b2,...,bm$$B = ({\omega _1},{\omega _2},...,{\omega _{\text{n}}}) \cdot \left[ {\begin{array}{*{20}{c}} {{r_{11}}}&{{r_{12}}}&{...}&{{r_{1m}}} \\ {{r_{21}}}&{{r_{22}}}&{...}&{{r_{2m}}} \\ {...}&{...}&{...}&{...} \\ {{r_{n1}}}&{{r_{n2}}}&{...}&{{r_{nm}}} \end{array}} \right] = {b_1},{b_2},...,{b_m}$$

Where B is a fuzzy composite judgement set and bj(j = 1, 2, …, m) is a fuzzy composite judgement indicator, where: bj=Vi=1n(wirij)$${b_j} = V_{i = 1}^n({w_i} \wedge {r_{ij}})$$

Assessment of judgement indicators

Take bj and use it as a weight, then implement the so-called weighted average process with each alternative element vj, then: V=j=1mbjvj+j=1mbj$$V = \sum\limits_{j = 1}^m {{b_j}} {v_{{j^ + }}}\sum\limits_{j = 1}^m {{b_j}}$$

Then v is the result of fuzzy comprehensive judgement.

Evaluation results and analyses

Using the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model, the comprehensive score and the scores of indicators at all levels of integration of sports, ideological, and political education in the sample colleges were calculated. The evaluation scores of each three-level indicator are shown in Figure 4. After experiencing the Internet technology-based teaching practice of sports and ideological and political integration strategies, the evaluation scores of the three-level indicators of the integration of sports and ideological and political education in the sample colleges and universities are concentrated in the range of 0.7 to 0.9, of which 25% of the three-level indicators have scores of 0.85 or more, and the use of extracurricular sports and exercise methods d7 and the students’ initiative to engage in meaningful teaching and learning practice activities c15 have the highest scores, which are respectively 0.894 and 0.887.

Evaluation scores of three indicators

The evaluation scores of each level 1 and level 2 indicators are shown in Figure 5. The overall physical education, ideological, and political education integration score of the university is 0.797, and the overall quality of the physical education, ideological, and political education integration of the sample university is good. Among the evaluation scores of the primary indicators, teaching resources B scored the highest and teaching practice C scored the second highest, with 0.813 and 0.807 scores, respectively. Among the evaluation scores of the second-level indicators, 50 per cent of the indicators scored above 0.8, with teaching expression C4 and teaching material B1 scoring the highest. This reflects that the advantages of the integration strategy of physical education and ideological and political education based on Internet technology lie in the rich expansion of teaching resources, the curricular integration of ideological and political elements, and the innovative expression of teaching methods. From the results of the students’ reflective development D, the students’ self-reflection habits and the improvement of the level of special skills have been significantly improved, especially in the mastery of sports theory, independent thinking, and the ability to analyse and solve problems, which is affirmed by the students, which fully demonstrates that the strategy of integrating sports and ideological-political education based on Internet technology plays an unparalleled role in improving the students’ physical fitness and sports skills, and promoting the integration of sports and ideological and political integration plays an irreplaceable and important role.

Conclusion

The Internet era has made it easier to explore the integration of sports and ideological and political education in colleges and universities. The study employs a qualitative comparative method to investigate the factors that influence the integration of physical education with ideological and political education. Based on these findings, it proposes an Internet-based strategy to integrate physical education with ideological and political education. It also constructs an evaluation index system for the integration of sports and ideological and political education and combines the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to assess the application effect of the strategy of Internet technology to promote the integration of sports and ideological and political education.

Conditional group state analysis is carried out on five dimensions: policy orientation, civic resources, cultivation program, main body synergy, and perfect mechanism. The coverage of the obtained solutions for each dimension is above 80%. Tapping into the elements of the sports curriculum, deepening the reform of teaching materials and methodology, organic integration of the curriculum and information technology, and perfecting the mechanism and implementation are important measures to promote the construction of the sports curriculum.

The assessment index of the integration of physical education and civic and political education, which focuses on the implementation of the proposed strategy, assigns a weight of 0.4708. After carrying out the integration strategy in practice, the comprehensive score for the integration of sports and civic and political education in the sample colleges and universities was 0.797, and the overall integration effect was good. The highest evaluation scores were 0.813 and 0.807 for teaching resources and teaching practice, respectively. Among them, 50% of the evaluation scores of the second-level indicators are greater than 0.8, and most of the evaluation scores of the third-level indicators are between 0.7 and 0.9. The empirical analysis validated the feasibility and applicability of the integration strategy for sports, ideological, and political education using Internet technology.

Students’ ideological education is the focus of national and social attention, and the development of Internet technology has created more opportunities and brought more challenges for the construction of ideology and politics. Colleges and universities should determine their positioning, grasp the advantages of Internet technology, actively deal with the risks brought by the “Internet +” education model, constantly strengthen the level of civic and political construction, improve the quality of civic and political education, and promote the positive development of sports and civic and political education.
