General information

Powder Metallurgy Progress is a peer-reviewed, international, scientific Journal, that publishes full-length original papers embodying the results of experimental or theoretical research, invited reviews, and brief communications. All manuscripts that are submitted to PMP journal will not be subject to any Article Processing Charges.

Open Access Statement

The journal is an Open Access journal that allows a free unlimited access to all its contents without any restrictions upon publication to all users.

Instruction for authors

The Editors of Powder Metallurgy Progress (PMP) accept and publish only original theoretical and experimental papers. All contributions should be written in English. The manuscript may be submitted in the form of Review (published on an invitation basis), Regular contribution (maximum 12 pages including tables and figures), Note, short communications and letters (maximum 4 pages), Advertising (based on agreement with the advertiser).

The article text, tables with headings, and figures with captions need to be embedded in a single PDF file and a single DOC file, the .docx format will not be accepted. During the reviewing process, the authors, reviewers, and editors send and receive all correspondence by e-mail. The corresponding author will receive the final decision (revise, accept, reject) of the editor by e-mail, containing editorial comments.

The manuscript should be typed using the PMP template (downloadable from the PMP website). Template set up: page size 17x24 cm; margins (all) 2 cm; single spacing. Times New Roman Font 10 pt.

The manuscript should include the following items

  1. Title
  2. List of authors (FULL NAME and SURNAME, establishment(s) where work was carried out)
  3. Abstract in the range of 100 - 150 words should present a summary of the objectives, content, and conclusions of the paper (without references to the paper, figures, tables, or bibliographical references).
  4. Keywords
  5. Introduction
  6. Text (including separate sections: SECTION, subsection, sub-subsection)
  7. Conclusions
  8. Acknowledgements (optional)
  9. References

The use of the SI system of units is required throughout the paper. The final version of the manuscript (after corrections) has to be accompanied in electronic form (Email attachment).

Acceptance of papers

All manuscripts will be reviewed by 2 specialists. The editorial office reserves the right to disapprove of an article, which is not in journal trend. Papers are reviewed by 1 of members of the Editorial Board and further Reviewer will be selected from the list of potential Reviewers suggested by the corresponding author. The corresponding author suggests names, addresses, and email addresses of at least 2 experts in the subject of the paper. Note that the editor retains the sole right to decide whether or not the suggested reviewers are used.

Text

The final manuscript has to be prepared in a text editor and saved in pure .doc format. Do not use macros, automatic numbering, and indexing in the document.

The heading of sections should be typed all in caps and bold without numbering. For differentiation of subsection, in the first level, bold type without caps and in second level bold italic type without caps should be used.

Equations, mathematical expressions, and symbols should be typed using Symbol font in an extra line.

Tables should be brief and as simple as possible. The size of the table including the title must not exceed 13x20 cm. Each table should have a title placed above the table.

Figures include all graphs, drawings, photographs, and pictures. If the figures are in a graphics format (e.g. png, jpg, tiff), they should be inserted into text using the procedure Insert-Image-From File (avoid using copy-paste function). Each figure must have a caption under the image. The maximum printed size of a figure is 13x20 cm (including caption). Digital images have to be saved as extra files at a minimum of 300 dpi at the presented size (PNG or uncompressed formats are preferred). The author should pay attention to font size in drawings. The drawing has to be readable after resizing to 6.5x4.5 cm.

All tables, equations, and figures should be numbered gradually throughout the text and referred to in the text: equations (1), (2), …; Tables 1, 2, …; Figs. 1, 2, …

References should also be numbered gradually in the brackets: [1], [2], … References should be given in numerical order as they appear in the text at the end of the manuscript.
