Global Psychiatry is a single-blind peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original scientific articles, systematic reviews and meta-analyses in all areas of psychiatry and mental health from all over the globe.

The main mission of Global Psychiatry is to advance global mental health by making relevant scientific knowledge globally accessible. We are convinced that all variations and subspecialities of psychiatry and mental health care have a global common ground and can learn from each other and that a journal with a global approach can benefit all mental health professionals, carers and most importantly our patients.

The practice of psychiatry and mental is varies all over the world and in continuous change. The presence is the future of the past and the past of the future. Current practice is based on previous developments. We therefore intend to document and report recent history and current psychiatric practice from all corners of the world.

Publishing a first paper is not easy, but being in touch with mental health research is a characteristics of good practice. Thus it is our special endeavor to support young, new and upcoming authors from all over the publishing their research. Global Psychiatry publishes original research articles, systematic reviews, meta- analyses, editorials and Global Perspectives.
