The papers published in the Journal are expected to be of complex nature. They should address theoretical, methodological as well as practical issues related to ecological problems.

Peer review
After the manuscript is received, the editor in chief and four membres of the Editorial Board who are experts in the field verify the text and declare independently, whether it may pass the initial pre-screening or not. To pass the pre-screening stage the manuscript must be accepted by the editor-in-chief and at least three members of the Editorial Board.
The reviewers, who are be experts in the field, are selected by the editor-in-chief. In case of problems with finding the experts for reviewing the manuscript, the members of the Editorial Board are consulted. One of the reviewers is usually from Slovakia and one is from abroad (Europe, USA, Russian Federation, etc.). The review sheet is expected to be sent to the editor within 30 days.
The comments of reviewers are sent to authors, who are asked to improve and correct the text. In case the reviewer requested to see the corrected text, the manuscript is sent to the respective reviewer for the re-review.
The editor-in-chief verifies the final versin of the text. If all comments and requested changes have been applied the editor-in-chief makes the final decision „Imprimatur“.

The journal is an Open Access journal that allows a free unlimited access to all its contents without any restrictions upon publication to all users.
