The scope and essence of our journal is related to photogrammetry (aerial, satellite, close-range), cartography, remote sensing, GIS - broadly-understood as geomatics. Papers published in APCRS can present research and review papers about current achievements and descriptions of state-of-the-arts in geospatial data acquisitions, processing, modelling, visualization and application in many fields of economy including technical, environmental, humanistic applications.

Among technologies that are the subject of publication are, photogrammetric imaging techniques from airborne platforms, UAVs, satellite systems, data from LIDAR systems (airborne, satellite, terrestrial, mobile), radar and many others that can be mentioned. Publications in APCRS are also related to trends in the processing and management of geospatial data: topographic databases, registration data (including cadastral), archival maps, 3D products generated with modern technologies and much more

The aim of the journal is to present the current state of knowledge in thematic scope of the APCRS. The journals intends to be the one of the leading and most cited journal related to photogrammetry, cartography and remote sensing in Central and Eastern Europe.

Archives of Photogrammetry, Cartography and Remote Sensing has a rich tradition and it has been published since 1994. It was established by few scientific organizations: Polish Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, Polish Academy of Sciences, Association of Polish Cartographers and Polish Geographical Society.

Each paper in APCRS is double-blind reviewed. The quality of APCRS content is ensured by thematic, linguistic and statistical editors. For years in APCRS over 1000 scientific papers have been published. All papers in APCRS include extended abstract in English.
