ALFA (Architecture Papers of the Faculty of Architecture and Design STU) is an international peer-reviewed, open access journal dedicated to the research fields of the Faculty (architecture, urban, landscape, product and exhibition design, art and culture) and related disciplines. Interdisciplinary contributions are welcome. The Journal is published in English and provides a variety of authors’ origins.
All articles are subject to a blind review (provided by experts on the article subjects) assessing content, scientific and research knowledge, originality, methods, quality and suitability of image material, text structure and style, referencing, comprehensibility, length and overall contribution of each article. Based on the review, the editor reserves the right to reject the paper or request the author to adjust it. The editor will arrange for the spell- and grammar check, and stylistic revision of the text.
All authors must adhere to the Declaration of Compliance with Publishing Ethics. Submission of an article also implies that the work includes the author’s own contribution, that it has not been published previously (except in the form of an abstract), that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, that its publication is approved by all authors and that, if accepted, it will not be published elsewhere in the same form, in English or in any other language, without the written consent of the Publisher.
The publisher of the Journal provides a free unlimited access to the research results published in articles without copyright infringement under a publicly valid Creative Commons license (CC BY 4.0). The whole content of the Journal is published electronically via the Journal website free of charge: https://alfa.stuba.sk/. There are no fees applicable.

Sciendo archives the contents of this journal in Portico – digital long-term preservation service of scholarly books, journals and collections.
University Library in Bratislava archives the contents of this journal in Digitálne Pramene within the project of long-term protection of digital cultural heritage – selected suitable sources in the form of websites, electronic books, and periodicals published in Slovakia.

The editorial board is participating in a growing community of Similarity Check System's users in order to ensure that the content published is original and trustworthy.
