In the following report are presented the hand calculation of a continuous 2 bay beam solved using The Method of Three Moments considering the imposed displacements due to earthquake. The ground motions can be uniform applied to the structure whereas in the mean time they can be considered as asynchronous imposed displacements. The dynamic equations can be adapted for imposed displacements that can take into account the spatial variability of seismic ground motions.
