<DIV align=left>Das Heft 1-2022 und das Heft 2-2022 werden gemeinsam im August 2022 erscheinen. Insbesondere handelt es sich um zwei Sonderhefte mit den Titeln entitled "Cultural–Historical Gestalt Theory and Beyond" bzw. ""Colour and Space in Perception and Art". <HR color=black> </COLOR> Gestalt Theory wurde 1979 in Deutschland als internationales multidisziplinäres wissenschaftliches Journal gegründet, um den weltweit verbreiteten, auf den grundlegenden Erkenntnissen der Berliner Schule der Gestaltpsychologie - Gestalttheorie aufbauenden Forschungsaktivitäten und deren Weiterentwicklungen eine Plattform zu schaffen. Das Journal veröffentlicht holistisch system-theoretische, phänomenologische oder experimentelle Analysen und richtet sich in einem fruchtbaren interdisziplinären Dialog an internationale Wissenschaftler aller Forschungsfelder, in denen diese Ansätze vertreten sind, wie Psychologie, Philosophie, Pädagogik, Sozial- und Humanwissenschaften, Ökonomie, Kunst, Kommunikationswissenschaften. Es enthält Originalbeiträge, Berichte, Diskussionen und Ankündigungen aus den verschiedenen Wissenschaftsbereichen und bietet aus multidisziplinärer gestalttheoretischer Perspektive einen breiten Überblick über die gegenwärtige wissenschaftliche Forschung und deren Entwicklungen. The journal Gestalt Theory was founded in 1979 in Germany as an international multidisciplinary journal to establish a platform for the globally ramified research activities built on the fundamental scientific findings of the Berlin School of Gestalt theory and its legacy. The Journal publishes articles that present a holistic system-theoretical, phenomenological or experimental analysis and addresses international scientists of any field where these approaches are represented, such as psychology, philosophy, pedagogy, social and life sciences, economics, art, communication sciences in a fruitful interdisciplinary dialogue. It contains original contributions, reviews, discussions and announcements in these fields and provides a wide overview of the current scientific research and advances in multidisciplinary gestalt-theoretical perspective. Gestalt Theory is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal. An International Multidisciplinary Journal is a peer reviewed international journal committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. These guidelines are based on existing Elsevier policies and COPE’s Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors <ol> <li> PUBLICATION AND AUTHORSHIP De Gruyter is the publisher of the peer reviewed international journal Gestalt Theory. An International Multidisciplinary Journal. This is the Journal of the Society for Gestalt Theory and its Applications (GTA), a non-profit association that supports the publication financially. The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed journal is an essential building block in the development of a coherent and respected network of knowledge. It is a direct reflection of the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions that support them. Peer-reviewed articles support and embody the scientific method. It is therefore important to agree upon standards of expected ethical behaviour for all parties involved in the act of publishing: the author, the journal editor, the peer reviewer, the publisher and the society. Authors need to ensure that the submitted article is the work of the submitting author(s) and is not plagiarized, wholly or in part. They must also make sure that the submitted article is original, is not wholly or in part a re-publication of the author’s earlier work, and contains no fraudulent data. It is also their responsibility to check that all copyrighted material within the article has permission for publication and that material for which the author does not personally hold copyright is not reproduced without permission. Finally, authors should ensure that the manuscript submitted is not currently being considered for publication elsewhere. Articles submitted to Gestalt Theory must be compliant with the binding ethical guidelines and must be free of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism. In particular, the data need to be collected in an ethical way, including obtaining participant consent as appropriate, and all other steps of the research and authorship process, including acknowledgement of author contributions, need to be carried out ethically. Concurrent (duplicate) submission to more than one journal constitutes a serious ethical breach and must not occur at any point prior to or after submission to the journal. If the author is in doubt about the status of a specific manuscript, they should contact the editors prior to submission. Failure to comply with these ethical guidelines will be dealt with following COPE procedures. </li> <li> AUTHOR’S RESPONSIBILITIES Gestalt Theory. An International Multidisciplinary Journal is a peer-reviewed journal, and Authors are obliged to participate in our double blind peer review process. Authors need to ensure that all data in the submitted article are real and authentic. They must make sure that all authors have significantly contributed to the research submitted in the article, and that all and only the contributors to the article are listed as authors. It is their responsibility to ensure that no participants are harmed, physically or mentally, during the research which results in the article, and that personal details of the participants, where participants have not agreed for such details to be released or where the release of such details could endanger a participant, are fully anonymized. This applies both to textual citations and to images and any supplementary audio or visual material. Authors should also ensure that all authors provide retractions or corrections of mistakes. </li> <li> PEER REVIEW AND REVIEWERS’ RESPONSIBILITIES Both the Referee and the Author remain anonymous throughout the “double blind” review process. Referees are selected according to their expertise in their particular fields. Referees have a responsibility to be objective in their judgments; to have no conflict of interest with respect to the research, with respect to the authors and/or with respect to the research funders; to point out relevant published work which is not yet cited by the author(s); and to treat the reviewed articles confidentially. </li> <li> EDITORIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Editors hold full authority to reject/accept an article; to accept a paper only when reasonably certain; to promote publication of corrections or retractions when errors are found; to preserve anonymity of reviewers; and to have no conflict of interest with respect to articles they reject/accept. If an Editor feels that there is likely to be a perception of a conflict of interest in relation to their handling of a submission, they will declare it to the other Editors. The other Editors will select referees and make all decisions on the paper. </li> <li> PUBLISHING ETHICS ISSUES Members of the Editorial Board ensure the monitoring and safeguarding of the publishing ethics. This comprises the strict policy on plagiarism and fraudulent data, the strong commitment to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies when needed, and the strict preclusion of business needs from compromising intellectual and ethical standards. Whenever it is recognized that a published paper contains a significant inaccuracy, misleading statement or distorted report, it will be corrected promptly. If, after an appropriate investigation, an item proves to be fraudulent, it will be retracted. This site will guide authors stepwise through the submission process. Authors who are unable to provide an electronic version or who have other circumstances that prevent online submission need to contact the Managing Editors (email: <a href="mailto:fsors@units.it">fsors@units.it</a> ) prior to submission to discuss alternative options. The Publisher and the Editors regret that they are not able to consider submissions that do not follow these procedures. Gestalt Theory offers authors a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY), which enables others to distribute and copy the article, to create extracts, abstracts, even for commercial purposes, as long as they credit the author(s), do not represent the author as endorsing their adaptation of the article, and do not modify the article in such a way as to damage the author's honor or reputation. Copyright policy Upon acceptance of an article, the authors will be asked to complete a 'Journal Publishing Agreement'. Acceptance of the agreement will ensure the widest possible dissemination of information. An e-mail will be sent to the corresponding author confirming the receipt of the manuscript together with a 'Journal Publishing Agreement' form or a link to the online version of this agreement. Subscribers may reproduce tables of contents or prepare lists of articles including abstracts for internal circulation within their institutions. Permission of the Journal Editors is required for resale or distribution outside the institution and for all other derivative works, including compilations and translations.
