Background

Over the past 25 years, this field has evolved significantly, incorporating theoretical and empirical advancements to analyse competitive actions and responses.

Objectives

This paper aims to provide a comprehensive review of the literature on competitive dynamics published between 2000 and 2024, focusing on key contributions, trends, and gaps in the fields of business, management, and finance.

Methods/Approach

A systematic literature review was conducted using peer-reviewed articles from leading academic databases, applying predefined inclusion criteria to identify relevant studies. The review is structured to highlight thematic developments and methodological approaches.

Results
