Study on Farmers’ Employment Transformation and the Realization of Common Wealth under Digital Rural Construction

The rapid development of information technology has made digitalization an important force in promoting the development of rural construction. The study analyzes the intrinsic connection between digital rural construction, farmers’ employment transformation, and the common good. It is proposed that H1: digital rural construction can directly promote farmers’ common wealth, H2: digital rural construction promotes farmers’ common wealth through farmers’ employment transition, and the benchmark model and mediated effect model are constructed to verify the two related hypotheses. Using gray correlation analysis to verify the correlation between variables, the correlation coefficients of digital rural construction with farmers’ common prosperity and farmers’ employment transformation are 0.888 and 0.892 respectively, which are highly correlated. Constructing the benchmark model shows that the coefficient of digital village construction is 0.1172 and significant at 1% level, which confirms the hypothesis H1.The mediation effect model shows that the mediation effect of farmers’ employment transformation accounts for 19%, which verifies the hypothesis H2.Heterogeneity analysis indicates that there is regional heterogeneity in the effect effect of digital village construction on farmers’ common wealth and heterogeneity in the construction level. The path to promoting farmers’ employment transformation and promoting common prosperity is proposed in combination with institutional reform, policy support, and vocational skill improvement.
