<abstract xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>Based upon a corpus analysis of the advertisements for children’s products in a 2017 British issue of <underline>Glamour</underline>, a women’s magazine, the article attempts to identify a pattern of basic cultural ideas and images which advertisers speculate in their attempt to persuade, as symptomatic of cultural values at a given time. Thus, the objectification of human interaction or instilling the urge to compete are but a few.</p></abstract>
