<abstract xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>A review is given of the present lists of crop protectants recommended for use on tobacco in the 22 countries which export the majority of tobacco to the Federal Republic of Germany. The information is of significance in the overall monitoring and control of chemical residues on imported tobacco and in establishing priorities in developing methods of residue analysis for these chemicals.</p></abstract>
