<abstract xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

<p>The author states the occurrence of Eurasian beaver (<italic>Castor fiber</italic> Linnaeus, 1758) in the East Slovakia based on indirect signs from water courses. A total of 96 territories (localities) were observed over the years 2016 – 2017. The obtained data help spreading knowledge of species distribution in the territory of Slovakia.</p>
