<abstract xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>First records of four species of the family Dolichopodidae are given. <italic>Argyra ilonae</italic> Gosseries, 1988 from subfamily Diaphorinae, <italic>Dolichopus agilis</italic> Meigen, 1824 from subfamily Dolichopodinae, <italic>Medetera glaucella</italic> Kowarz, 1877 from subfamily Mediterinae and <italic>Syntormon tarsatus</italic> (Fallén, 1823) from subfamily Sympycninae increase the current national species list to 86 species. The completed nation checklist of long-legged flies of Azerbaijan is presented.</p></abstract>
