<abstract xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>The article presents recent findings of epiphytic bryophytes from the Orthotrichaceae family in the Muránska planina National Park. Field surveys were carried out between 2008 and 2016. In total, 111 localities were visited. Altogether, 19 taxa from the Orthotrichaceae family were recorded - 8 of them are new for the territory of the National Park (<italic>Dorcadion affine</italic> var. <italic>bohemicum</italic>, <italic>D</italic>. <italic>rupestre</italic>, <italic>Orthotrichum diaphanum</italic>, <italic>O</italic>. <italic>patens</italic>, <italic>O</italic>. <italic>scanicum</italic>, <italic>O</italic>. <italic>stramineum</italic>, <italic>Pulvigera lyellii</italic>, and <italic>Ulota bruchii</italic>) and 1 as new for Slovakia (<italic>Dorcadion affine</italic> var. <italic>bohemicum</italic>). Eleven species are listed on the Red list of bryophytes of Slovakia – EX: <italic>Orthotrichum rogeri</italic>; CR: <italic>Nyholmiella gymnostoma</italic>, <italic>Orthotrichum patens</italic>, <italic>O</italic>. <italic>scanicum</italic>; VU: <italic>Dorcadion striatum</italic>, <italic>Ulota bruchii</italic>; NT: <italic>Dorcadion speciosum</italic>, <italic>Orthotrichum pallens</italic>, <italic>Pulvigera lyellii</italic>, <italic>Ulota crispa</italic>; DD: <italic>Orthotrichum stramineum</italic>. The most interesting findings are briefly discussed.</p></abstract>
