In the article the process of operating a set of aircraft put into service at one time is examined. In order to maintain a balanced ratio ready to use and avoid the accumulation of hangar's maintenance, analysed transient process operation determining the probability of objects reside in different operating states. An interesting issue is change of a readiness as dependence of the model of adopted qualification. The main result of this article is the value of the probability of being ready to use. The probability of reaching the limit value is assuming different depends on initial conditions and different models of the probability density distributions. The results indicate the need for further testing of models of probability distributions to determine the optimal method qualifications or technical object is in standby mode or not.

A statistical analysis of multiyear test results of GUW-7 and KW-2 artillery igniters type is presented in this article as representative ones to examine natural ageing process influence on indicators of quality during long-time storage. The influence of storage time on decisions connected with the quality of the lots after tests and on inconsistencies characterising the advancement level of the natural ageing process were analysed. The influence analysis of testing cycles on occurrence of inconsistences in definite classes and for the next quality decisions were carried out. The performed analysis can be essential for tests methodology of artillery igniters relevant modifications.

The aim of the study is to analyse and assess the water supply network failure frequency in last ten years, with particular emphasis on the last year of the analysis. The analysis is based on actual data obtained from the water company. The study contains the analysis of the network failure with division into used material, the type of network and place of failure occurrence. Also the failure rate was calculated. Continuous changes in the age and material structure of the water network cause the need for conducting failure frequency research because data on failure rate are the key indicators for operational policy of water supply systems.

The paper presents diagnoses of example start-up processes of drive units built in military aircraft operated in the Dęblin's “School of Eaglets” during the flight. The significance of this process is very important, especially from the point of view of flight safety, especially as it concerns the training aircraft, on which officer cadets-candidates for pilots are trained. The diagnosis of the start-up process was conducted using data from on-board flight recorders recorded during a flight training, whose aim was an emergency launch of particular drive units, and with the help of the so-called phase mapping of the selected operating parameters of the particular flight drive systems. The standard diagram of typical start-up systems was shown, while presenting their base subassemblies. At the end, the obtained results and the main problems that need intervention were commented, as well as further preventive activities were proposed.

The paper presents problems of hazard identification in transportation systems, where not only field of action is large but also cause-consequences relations between failure causes and losses are distant in time and space. It is observed in transportation systems of goods and passengers, systems of water, gas, oil distribution and electro-energetic nets. Proposed systemic approach based on system elements classification on active (casual) and passive ones (affected). There are described concepts of vulnerability (damageability), resilience (ability of recovering and risk controlling by introducing safety measures to undesired event chain.

The main and unchangeable principle of aviation activities is to preserve the conditions for safe flying. In present conditions, in constantly growing tasks, aviation requires organizational and methodological treatments at the highest quality. Article is devoted to the analysis of parametric information accumulated through on-board storage media registration of flight data. The article presents selected examples of methods and tools to analyze data and identify corrective and / or preventive actions, which help to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the entire process of flight training. Conducted in the article discussion and examples highlight the important role of objective flight control as a tool for continuous monitoring of the level of security of performed air tasks in terms of piloting techniques and technical efficiency of the aircraft.
