Stapfia is the botanical journal of the Biocenter Linz (Austria) that aims to advance botany in its broadest sense.

Since 1977 monographs, contributions to symposia, and since 1994 and from volume 32 on also the catalogues of the exhibitions of the Biocenter Linz are published in Stapfia.

Since 2010 a new subseries entitled Stapfia reports was added to our well-established periodical. Stapfia reports publishes original articles, reviews, brief communications and technical notes in all fields of botanical research including history of botany, systematics, geobotany, cytogenetics, conservation biology, physiology, molecular biology and other aspects of botanical sciences. Publication schedule of Stapfia reports is one volume per year.

Sciendo archives the contents of this journal in Portico - digital long-term preservation service of scholarly books, journals and collections.
