Artificial Intelligence is changing the reality of the accounting field, on a rapid way, due to the benefit of improving and reshaping the actual way of performing activities on this domain. Over the years accounting has changed significantly by replacing the work with paper and pencil first with computers, but more importantly with programmes able to decrease time spend on repetitive work that reduce the amount of errors. The interest on Artificial Intelligence solutions in this domain is not new but on the last years researchers become more focused on it. Despite the material progress there seems to be not enough data to support companies’ willingness to embed Artificial Intelligence solutions into their accounting activities. Also, an important aspect of this reality is the capability of experts to adapt faster to the new status quo and to acquire the necessary skills to be able to work with Artificial Intelligence solutions and to overcome the fear of losing their jobs. This paper is focusing on understanding the impact of Artificial Intelligence solution in accounting by conducting a qualitative research based on relevant literature review, of the last years. This paper is highlighting the potential changes Artificial Intelligence can bring to the accounting jobs and the necessary steps to be taken in order to prepare for the new jobs, in which Artificial Intelligence solutions will be more present.

The theme of the paper is the impact of the cosmetic industry on the economy. The reason for choosing this theme is the passion for cosmetics and personal care and belief in the importance of this aspect in people’s lives. Although the subject is very broad, with many data and details that extend over the decades since the establishment of this industry, the paper tries to summarize this information. This topic is discussed from the perspective of several mini chapters such as the socio-economic contribution of the European cosmetics industry, the impact on people’s lives, the past vs. the present cosmetics industry and the impact of COVID-19 on this industry. This article assesses the short- and medium-term impact of the beauty industry, based on multiple market reports, literature review and official statements by market leaders. When talking about the beauty industry, we consider the categories of makeup, perfume, personal hygiene and skin, hair, and body care.

The Impact of the Beauty Industry on the Economic Growth at the European Union Level

<abstract><title style='display:none'>Abstract</title>The scope of the research is to investigate and to present the human being as a whole. The article presents a series of experiments regarding the human being. It reveals, based on proven facts, such as video footages and scientific measurements, that the human being is not only just a simple physical body. It is a complex structure with an energy shell and a soul with an essential role and these details have to be studied more thoroughly in the future. As the human body uses energy, specific measurement practices are applied. The authors used an Electro Photonic Imaging Device and a Thermal Vision Camera Device because the measured energy frequencies are not within the optical visual frequency range. The general and the detailed human body health state can be evaluated using the EPI Device. Despite the classical medicine approach that considers only the physical component of the body, the article proves the existence and reveals a wider behavior of the human being from the supplementary point of view which is often called spirit, soul, ethereal body or just entity. It is also shown that the human being is capable of evaluating and healing by own means. Thus, a study case is presented regarding the health state evolution during a period of one year, while the human body is continuously taking care of itself. The complete control of the entire human being leads to a continuous good health and also to a good physical and psychic state, with increased performances in all activities. All these achievements can be useful to also obtain a very good job. The objective of the authors are to proof that the soul exists and also that every person can act to improve the own health, the general state and so to rich easier the happiness.</abstract>

The last years have been marked by the attempts to approach the management discipline from a new, innovative perspective, in accordance with the present times, marked by complex challenges and highly increased competition. Given the importance and impact of scientific advances and also the explosion of research in the field of neuroscience, management had to be redefined and its critical variables had to be analyzed from a different perspective. An interdisciplinary vision was needed to enable future researches and explanations of the decision-making processes, leadership practices, change management, innovation, creativity, human resources performance, engagement of people and emotions. Literature review has been made, from the classical management theories and models, the historical concepts of man, to the new, full of perspectives spectrum of neuroscience, brain functioning and, its infinite potential, that opened new horizons, uncovered resources and tools to face the realities of the new business world. The main purpose of this article is to overview the transition from management to neuromanagement, from leadership to neuroleadership, the role and impact of these concepts on the holistic approach of management science. This evolution allows not only the confirmation of a set of assumptions but also access to a wide range of knowledge, with multiple possibilities of applications in organizational management and opens avenues for future researches.

Neuromanagement: the scientific approach to contemporary management

There is a growing interest in the contribution of organizations to the achievement of sustainable development goals worldwide, with the involvement of various actors, such as governments, regulators, private entities, public interest entities, financial institutions, and civil society. The alignment between environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance and sustainable development goals helps academics and practitioners in observing corporate contributions to sustainable growth, both at micro and macroeconomic levels. There are few studies that analyze the association between corporate ESG performance and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), or the contribution of company ESG indicators to sustainability. Thus, the aim of this study is to analyze such relationships in a case study for which an original mapping is proposed. Data were collected from Refinitiv Eikon, for two companies (in the oil and gas and financial services sectors), located in Romania, for the financial year 2021. Interpretative analysis was applied to the proposed mapping of sustainability practices reflected through ESG indicators, in relation to 17 SDGs. Our qualitative research included the computation of a total score based on the impact of ESG performance in pursuing the SDGs. Our results show that in Romania, the largest oil and gas company disclosed more information on ESG indicators and obtained a score (40) higher than the analyzed bank. The highest contribution to the achievement of the SDGs is related to the social pillar, especially the workforce and community dimensions. The bank obtained a lower score (30), while the most significant contribution to meeting the SDGs is linked to the environmental pillar, specifically emissions. Thus, corporate ESG performance is mapped to the SDGs, for entities activating in either financial or non-financial industries, with different importance allocated to each of the three ESG pillars. This research is important for various stakeholders, such as governments, business, and civil society, depending on the role within the organization, either direct or indirect.

<abstract><title style='display:none'>Abstract</title> The oil and gas industries remain an important drive for the world economy. On one hand, global demand for fossil fuels is still rising, and on the other hand, companies face complex investment challenges due to the harsh operational environment of exploration and production activities. Workforce regulations aim to provide a safe and secured working environment. However, exploration and production activities still cause local and global environmental risks such as groundwater contamination, or climate change in broader scale. Analyzing and reporting mechanisms are key performance indicators of sustainable development at the level of oil and gas companies. Obtaining and analyzing required data, nevertheless, seem to be a persistent challenge as to what degree these findings can affect the routine and strategic decisions of the oil and gas companies. In order to enable oil and gas companies to measure and control risks and manage incidents, artificial intelligent technologies in extended monitoring and supervising E&amp;P operations is known to be an efficient prevention strategy. Such tools not only aid in profitability of the oil and gas companies, but also increase awareness of environment and climate change to act more responsibly. In this study, the significances of environmental policies were investigated through interviews with executives and stakeholders, revealing that the implementation of environmental protection policies is affected by the financial stability of the companies, and under severe economic situations, companies seem less enthusiastic in strictly implementing those policies. This paper provides a comprehensive review of emerging technologies in addressing existing and foreseen challenges in sustainable development in oil and gas industries, with the aim of suggesting prime solutions for strategic planning attempts.</abstract>

In the countries of the European Union, agritourism is not a new phenomenon. Over time, for most EU countries: time meaning several decades, tourist accommodation has been practiced in a more or less spontaneous or organized manner. The new in this field is manifested by the expansion of the tourist phenomenon in the rural area. This expansion is explained, on the one hand, by relaunching the development of rural regions and, on the other hand, by diversifying the forms of mass tourism practice. The activity has proven to be profitable, especially as a result of changes in the preferences and habits of tourists towards individual tourism, to the detriment of mass tourism. On the other hand, the migration to the city, the modernization of work in the agricultural sector, the changes caused by the increase in competition in the rural world through the expansion of the free community market, have a counterweight in agritourism. Activities in the sphere of tourism can economically revive the villages, if the benevolent attitude of their inhabitants, to receive and accept in their midst wasteful and demanding guests, is favorably received. Current developments in the national financial markets, as well as in the international market, mark a period of great changes. As the process of globalization intensifies, the economic environment is marked by increasing volatility and uncertainty. Financial institutions, as links in the financial intermediation process, play a crucial role in directing capital flows to the areas where they are most productively used. This is also the case of derivative financial products, stock exchange and over the counter, which become elements found in the reports of commercial banks. In this context, this article wanted to identify, on the one hand, the causes that determined commercial banks to focus on activities with financial derivative products, going beyond the traditional sphere of banking operations, and on the other hand to explore ways in which products derivatives can be used in banking. Within the article, complex methods were used, both at the statistical level, materialized through the econometric model exposed, and at the theoretical level, of observation and analysis. An entire point of discussion is intended to x-ray the main derivatives, how they can be used and integrated into banking. Another goal was to deepen, at least theoretically, the consequences of using derivative financial products in banking on systemic risk and monetary policy. Also, the paper aimed to highlight the current conditions and prospects for increasing the use of derivative products in the Romanian banking system.

Romania’s flourishing solar energy sector necessitates responsible management of photovoltaic (PV) panel waste. The research examines at the current level of PV panel recycling and anticipates future production of waste. By examining data on solar production capacity and panel characteristics, the study forecasts a significant rise in PV waste.
Supportive legislation and rising environmental consciousness have contributed to increased PV installations, but regulating the waste produced is essential. The analysis predicts a jump in trash volume, reaching at least 32,892 tons by 2033, a stunning 2336% increase over 2024–2032.
This represents an exceptional chance for Romania to become a European leader in PV panel recycling. Romania could establish an innovative industry, acquire recycled materials for new panels, and encourage a circular solar energy economy if it optimizes its waste management.
Together with EU policies to promote the use of recycled materials in the production process of new panels, a national PV waste management strategy needs to be developed, with collaboration between government, industry and environmental organizations.
This paper provides significant insights for participants in Romania’s solar energy market. By identifying the challenges as well as opportunities relating to PV waste management, interested parties could collaborate proactively to build an economically viable future for solar energy in Romania.

Organizations' adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies has also given rise to the emergence of new and emerging risks for worker safety and health. These risks reflect the changes in the work environment driven by automation, extended connectivity and the introduction of cutting-edge technologies like the Internet of Things (IoT), data analytics, artificial intelligence, cloud computing and others into the organization's processes. In order to minimize the impact of these digital technologies on workers, it is essential to carry out the procedure of identifying and assessing potential occupational risks before the implementation /introduction of new digital technologies. Identifying risks, clarifying their nature in detail, identifying potential impact and likelihood of materialization, is an essential process for identifying and effectively implementing risk response strategies, ensuring that organizations manage risks in an adaptive and strategic way. Several tools, methods and work methodologies are available to identify, analyze and assess occupational injury and disease risks to which workers are exposed. The purpose of this study is to carry out a careful analysis of the method for assessing the risks of occupational injury and illness elaborated by the National Research and Development Institute for Labor Protection "Alexandru Darabonț" from Bucharest, Romania - to identify the limitations and disadvantages of the method, for determine whether it is appropriate for assessing new, emerging risks linked to recently introduced processes and technologies in the context of organizations' integration of digital technologies.

The brown bear subject has been characterized lately by an increased level of research complexity. Inside current article the brown bear will benefit from a broader assessment of its modern history and representation, showing that it can be understood as a symbol over time. The historical representation will be related to the evaluation of the existing literature, offering a multitude of mythological and folklore meanings, starting from King Ragnar to the Bear Dance, proving the animal was present in the daily life of people from different parts of the world. Through the details displayed, the meanings of bear will be understood, showing the value of this symbol in history. This is similar to the presence of the constellation <italic>Ursa Major</italic> (Great Bear) among the other stars in the sky.
Contemporarily it will be seen that the perception has changed today and what was previously deified is now stigmatized and brutalized. According to a survey conducted in Covasna and Brașov counties, 52% of the respondents expressed fear of bears, with 19% saying that they feel terrorized by them. As a result, people from Romania and from other countries use both non-lethal and lethal measures to solve possible conflicts with bears. In the Central Region of Romania, 220 preventive actions were taken from 2021 to 2022 to keep bears away from human settlements. Between 2017 and 2022, 4.405 phone calls were made to the 112 National Emergency Service reporting the presence of bears, while 154 bears were found dead for unknown reasons.

<abstract><title style='display:none'>Abstract</title> There is a considerable amount of interest in Industry 4.0, the so-called 4fh industrial revolution, however, the concept is not clear in the literature. This research by performing a literature review on Industry 4.0, aims to present an overview of the several industrial revolutions with emphasis on Industry 4.0 and its underlined dimensions. Industry 4.0 is characterized by the advanced digitalization and integration of industrial manufacturing and logistics processes, and the use of internet and “smart” objects (machines and products) and merging the physical and the virtual worlds by the adoption of information and communications technology (ICT). Industry 4.0 fosters novel human and production organization systems and new organizational business models, impacting the overall value chain, society and the environment. Contributions for such new business models that can support Industry 4.0 are proposed with envisioned potential benefits such as shorter operations cycle times, quick delivery times, faster time to market of new products and services, improved quality, and product/service customization, stronger consumer involvement and loyalty. Industry 4.0 can help organizations to address new and emerging markets by a differentiation strategy, or even create new disruptive business models. However, it is still in the early stages for most companies and the digital transformation will require a strong leadership, the right human competences and to overcome several barriers, for its successful implementation. And while this will lead to a significant improvement in job creation, there will be also considerable job losses for Employees with low skill levels. Considering that in 2015, only 14% of Small and Medium Enterprises were using internet channel and 40% of the European Union companies still had not adopted any of the new advanced digital technologies, there is a great need to further research Industry 4.0 drivers and success factors.</abstract>

Industry 4.0 and the digital society: concepts, dimensions and envisioned benefits

<abstract><title style='display:none'>Abstract</title>Forced to provide results consistent results to shareholders the organizations turned to Robotic Process Automation (RPA) in order to tackle the following typical challenges they face: (1) Cost reduction, (2) Quality increase and (3) Faster processes. RPA is now considered the next big thing for the Shared Services Centers (SSC) and Business Process Outsourced (BPO) around the world, and especially in Central and Eastern Europe. In SSCs and BPOs the activities with the highest potential for automation are in finance, supply chain and in human resource departments. This means that the problems these business are facing are mostly related to high data entry volumes, high error rates, significant rework, numerous manual processes, multiple not-integrated legacy systems and high turnover due to repetitive/low value added activities. One advantage of RPA is that it can be trained by the users to undertake structured repeatable, computer based tasks interacting in the same time with multiple systems while performing complex decisions based on algorithms. By doing this, the robot can identify the exceptions for manual processing, remove idle times and keep logs of actions performed. Another advantage is that the automated solutions can work 24/7, it can be implemented fast, work with the existing architecture, cut data entry costs by up to 70% and perform at 30% of the cost of a full time employee, thus providing a quick and tangible return to organizations. For Romania, a key destination for SSCs and BPOs, this technology will make them more competitive, but also will lead to a creation of a series of high-paid jobs while eliminating the low-input jobs. The paper will analyze also the most important vendor providers of RPA solutions on the market and will provide specific case studies from different industries, thus helping future leaders and organizations taking better decisions.</abstract>

Robotic Automation Process - The next major revolution in terms of back office operations improvement

<abstract><title style='display:none'>Abstract</title> Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is going into a “maturity market”. The main vendor providers surpassed USD 1 billion in evaluation and the research they are launching these days on the market will change again radically the business landscape. It can be seen already what is coming next to RPA: intelligent optical character recognition (IOCR), chat-bots, machine learning, big data analytics, cognitive platforms, anomaly detection, pattern analysis, voice recognition, data classification and many more. As a result the top vendors developed partnerships with the main leading artificial intelligence providers, such as: IBM Watson, Microsoft Artificial Intelligence, Microsoft Cognitive services, blockchain, Google etc. On the business part, the consulting companies who are implementing the RPA solution are moving from developing Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) and Pilots to helping clients with RAP global roll-outs and developing Centre of Excellences (CoE). As a result, the experiences gathered so far by the author on this kind of projects will be tackled also in this paper. In this article will we will present also some data related to automation for different business areas (eg. Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable etc) and how an assessment can be done correctly in order to decide if a process can be automatized and, if yes, up to which extent (ie. percent). Moreover, through the case studies we will provide (1) how now the RPA is integrated with Artificial Intelligence and Cloud, (2) how can be scaled in order to face hypes, (3) how can interpret data and (4) what savings these technologies can bring to the organizations. All the aforementioned services made Robotics Process Automation a very powerful tool since a year ago when the author did the last research. A process that was mainly not recommended for automation or was partially automated can be now fully automated with more advantages, such as: money, non-FTE savings and fulfillment time.</abstract>

Preparedness of companies for digital transformation and creating a competitive advantage in the age of Industry 4.0

<abstract><title style='display:none'>Abstract</title> IoT, or the Internet of Things, has been in use since circa 1999. It defines a next chapter in the evolution of the Internet where computing devices embedded in everyday objects are able to send and receive data themselves. In recent years miniaturization and economies of scale brought a boon of new devices to the consumer and enterprise market, prompting Gartner to predict over 20bln live IoT devices by 2020. However, the definition of IoT is loose and, for the purpose of predicting trends or discussing security, formulating a clear understanding of the term is crucial. In fact, Internet of Things is a term only mostly used by the media, academia and the industry. Customers in the consumer space refer to the technologies by their benefit describing term of “Smart Home”. A quick analysis of this gap shows how it’s entirely possible no knowledge permeates the business and market worlds because of the incompatible terms used. As more devices, OSes and heterogeneous platforms entrench the concept of a new digital lifestyle, the new “Digital Kingdom” opens its doors to radical disruption, such as the latest massive Mirai and Reaper attacks. Our ability to correctly define the IoT, it’s platforms and components, should lead to better market dynamics and better preparedness, as one can’t secure something that can’t be defined. This paper proposes to further understand the IoT by exploring available definitions, reiterating misuse and equivocal perception, concluding with a more suiting, contemporary definition.</abstract>
