<abstract><title style='display:none'>Abstract</title>The increasing importance of knowledge for companies come along with the increasing concerns about the way organizations cope with the exponential growth of available knowledge and the increasingly more complex products and processes that incorporate knowledge. Given the importance and impact of knowledge activities on the knowledge-based management, various models, approaches or frameworks require a more analytical approach, centred on how knowledge can be effectively managed. This paper analyses several knowledge cycle models and discusses their importance in relation with the knowledge management, even though it seems to be few models that bring something truly new in understanding knowledge and knowledge cycle activities. That is the reason we chose to address some of these, starting with the first most influential one, the Wiig model, and finishing with a less structured but very comprehensive approach, the Heisig model.</abstract>

The escalating complexity of cyber attacks demands innovative intrusion detection systems (IDS) to safeguard critical assets and data. The study aims to explore the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in enhancing the IDS's ability to identify and classify network traffic and detect anomalous behavior. The paper offers a concise overview of IDS and AI and examines the existing literature on the subject, highlighting the significance of integrating advanced language models for cybersecurity enhancement. The research outlines the methodology employed to assess the efficacy of AI within IDS. Furthermore, the study considers key performance metrics such as detection accuracy, false positive rate, and response time to ensure a comprehensive evaluation. Findings indicate that AI is a valuable asset in enhancing the accuracy of AI for detecting and responding to cyber attacks. Nonetheless, the study also brings to light certain limitations and challenges associated with incorporating AI into IDS, such as computational complexity and potential biases in training data. This research emphasizes the potential of advanced language models like ChatGPT in augmenting cybersecurity solutions and offers insights into overcoming associated challenges for a more robust and effective defense against sophisticated cyber attacks.

A Review of Enhancing Intrusion Detection Systems for Cybersecurity Using Artificial Intelligence (AI)

<abstract><title style='display:none'>Abstract</title>A global approach has almost generalized over the last decades, suggesting that human security and, related to it – society security- are among the most important themes of contemporary international relations.The management of the Yugoslavian crisis, the terrorist attacks of September the 11th, 2001, as well as the debates over US and its allies’ military interventions in Kosovo, Afghanistan or Iraq, pointed out, on the one hand, that states are not prepared to deal with the cross-border threats of the 21st century alone, and, on the other hand, the fact that military interventions (the “hard” approach to security) do not always represent the optimum solution in managing international security. However, peace-building and security building (the ”soft” approach) are usually more discreet, do not attract attention, do not draw the media interest.In recent studies, the issue of “soft” power and “hard” power has been increasingly discussed. “Soft” power refers to the power derived mainly from cultural and imagological sources, exercising its influence more through persuasion or by attracting the weak one to a particular model rather than by coercion. ”Hard” power consists especially of military and economic means contributing to enforcing the will of one actor over another actor. These two forms of power do not exclude each other, but, on the contrary, combining “soft” with “hard” means facilitates greater efficiency in achieving the main goal.</abstract>

In our approach we will draw on Translation Studies (Baker and Saldanha, 2009), in general, and the situation of the profession in Romania with its recent developments, in particular (namely the proposal for a new controversial law which all legal translators and their agencies should obey). Approaches to the Modern Concept of Digital Marketing

The organizational development assume the unconditional support of the leadership. Over time, the researchers have developed four major behavioural theories of leadership: the trait theory, behavioural theory of leadership, situational leadership theory and integrative leadership theory. These focus on the work of leaders, what they do, what they say and what they communicate across organizational boundaries. Over time, these theories have been adapted, developed and improved according to the main objectives of the organization and each leader. The researchers in the field were those who tried to find and identify the best style of leadership, regardless of the situation they might encounter in the course of their activities. Robert Blake and Jane Mouton are among those who built the management grid. They have published more than forty articles and books that describe their theory. This management network helps to think about a manager’s leadership style and its effects on the productivity and motivation of his team. The position of a leader can be anywhere in the network, depending on the relative importance gives to the people and to the results. On the one hand, this paper analyzes the organizational development from the perspective of management, and on the other hand, after presenting the necessary explanations related to the theoretical part of the grid exemplified above, a concrete example of this grid with application in a private organization will be presented. So, the study pursued the managerial grid application and analysis on a general manager in a certified vocational training entity (AS Financial Markets Sibiu), whose managerial style could be established after a test in which he answered at 20 questions.

The article describes the aid Poland is providing to Ukraine fighting Russia. Our country has been providing both humanitarian and military assistance since the beginning of Russia’s conflict with Ukraine, i.e. from 24 February 2022 up till now. Poland is a country that is at the forefront of contributing such help. Special attention should be paid to the involvement of Polish society, especially in the first days of the war, where they received Ukrainian refugees in their own homes sharing food and money with them. Military assistance, which has been continuously sent to the Ukrainian army for two years, plays an important role, and our Armed Forces are involved in the training of Ukrainian soldiers. Without international support, Russia’s flag would have already been hoisted on the tallest buildings in Kiev, and someone appointed by Vladimir Putin would have taken the presidential seat in place of Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Contemporary society is going through a period of deep transformations generated by the emergence and implementation of advanced technologies. Of all these, Artificial Intelligence (AI) stands out as having the greatest potential to generate profound changes in postmodern society, with strong implications in most areas of social life, especially in military competition. War, a social phenomenon of major relevance to human communities, is no exception to this reality, and artificial intelligence (AI) represents a “potential game changer” in the field of leading and executing military actions, with the possibility of introducing significant adjustments in the principles, rules, methods and procedures of preparing and conducting military actions, at all levels - strategic, operational and tactical. At the same time, the rapid growth of the global population, together with the phenomenon of increased urbanization, makes the urban environment one of the main environments in which the military operations of the future will be carried out. The complexity and high degree of difficulty of such environments (multi-layering, reduced mobility and high vulnerability of forces) bring with them various challenges for engineering support operations. For this reason, adjustments are needed at the level of operations planning, endowment with autonomous systems and equipment, as well as at the level of the selection process, recruitment and training of human resources.

Considerations on the Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Military Engineering Operations

The paper presents a new way of solving the integrals that appear in the Mohr-Maxwell energy method for calculating the displacements or rotations of straight bars subjected to bending. The method proposed by the authors, studied and tested for many years in the Military Technical Academy in the Strength of Materials group led by Col. Prof. Vasile Palacianu, eliminates the need to build effort diagrams. To solve the integral on a certain domain, a formula is applied that takes into consideration only the value of the moments at the ends of the integration interval. The well-known restriction for Veresceaghin grapho-analytical integration is maintained: on the integration domain, the variation of the bending moment produced by the generalized load equal to unity must vary linearly. Therefore, the method proposed by the authors cannot be applied to curved bars. Our new method can be used for a beam and also for a beams system. After the presentation of the theoretical foundations of the method and the establishment of the calculation relationship in three variants: without the load distributed over the integration interval, with the load uniformly distributed and with the load distributed according to a linear law, some edifying examples are presented, which highlight the efficiency of the method and the modality for work.

A New Method for Solving the Integrals of the Mohr-Maxwell Method for Displacements Calculus of Bent Straight Bars

The oxidation potential of perchlorates is high, which makes this material suitable for fuels with high specific impulse. Perchlorates are characterized by a ClO4- moiety/anion in their molecular structure and are crystalline materials used in the formation of solid fuels. Ammonium perchlorate (AP) particle size and shape influence the manufacturing process of fuels and their burning rate. The physical and chemical processes that can occur in the natural degradation process of composite fuels are related to molecular reactions and diffusion phenomena governed by kinetic processes and can be accelerated by increasing the temperature.
The paper presents studies carried out by scanning electron microscopy and infrared spectrometry on the behavior of ammonium perchlorate in the new composite material of solid rocket motor fuel under the effect of high temperature, in the range of 65-85οC, at regular time intervals. The self-initiation temperature was also determined, with a temperature rise rate controlled at 5ºC/minute.
It is very likely that these accelerated aging studies will show the changes that occur in the stability, sensitivity, mechanical and functional properties of fuels during their lifetime.

Air transport expansion in recent decades has been continuous. The main aviation fuels used so far are mainly petroleum products, the annual consumption of which (2017) amounts to approximately 300 Mt. The gases emitted by the aviation industry (carbon dioxide CO2, nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide) exert a powerful pressure on the environment. The development of the aviation industry will also provoke a growing demand for fuels, and the fuels used will deepen the environmental, social and economic effects. This necessitates the implementation of the concept of sustainability of aviation transport and the replacement of conventional with sustainable aviation fuels (SAF). In the coming years, the production of aviation biofuels will increase as part of the use of renewable energy and the development of the circular economy-bioeconomy. This report briefly presents the current status of developed and deployed bioreactive fuels in aviation; certified technologies; the potential raw materials that can be used and an assessment of the economic and environmental characteristics of biokerosenes. The report also indicates global initiatives and policies to promote the use of biofuels, as well as the commitments made by the airlines.

Technological Processes in the Production of Sustainable Aviation Fuels

Pyrotechnic compositions are mixtures of several components which, when ignited, undergo energetic chemical reactions at a controlled rate to produce on-demand delay times, amounts of heat, noise, smoke, light or IR radiation. In general, pyrotechnic compositions are easily ignited, burn quickly and produce residues that are very hot. 2-Chlorbenzalmalononitrile (CS) belongs to the category of riot control agents and is used in various pyrotechnic tear gas compositions.
The thermal characterization of tear pyrotechnic compositions is important for setting operating limits in the safety of the production process, storage, handling and even safe demilitarization.
In this sense, an experimental study was carried out to evaluate the behavior of CS at high temperatures, at different heating rates, by differential scanning calorimetry. Thermal changes were evaluated at a heating rate of 10, 20, 100 and 200οC/minute. The remaining residue was extracted in a suitable organic solvent and analyzed by gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry for the detection, identification and confirmation of the products formed during the controlled heating processes.

<abstract><title style='display:none'>Abstract</title> The role of providing ready-to-use food, regarded as a multiplicator of the combat force of the formations of the Bulgarian Army (BA) participating in peace keeping operations (PKO) is beyond doubt. The concept of the feeding of a battalion battle group (BBG), which is a potential participant in PKO should be sustainable under any conditions in different climatic zones and altitudes, providing for the specific needs of the personnel in accordance with their sex, age, health status, body mass index (BMI) and personal preferences. The energy needs of the servicemen in a BBG on a PKO in hot climates are equal to those in moderate climates - 3595 kcal per day. During combat operations this need rises to 4905 kcal per day.</abstract>

Fake and invented media websites are created to resemble legitimate media. Some criminals use methods such as modifying legitimate documents and distribute them as part of, for instance, disinformation campaigns. Propaganda is unequivocally bound to national security and it is a risk to it. Since fake news is a unique area where challenges appear to be very complicated, it should be dealt with via more and better usage of national security communications. It is, therefore, no coincidence that the Collins Dictionary has announced “fake news” as a word of 2017. Furthermore, the European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society Mariya Gabriel considers that fake news is suppressing the media and society as a whole, calling for an EU-level analysis in order to assess the amount to which fake news menaces the EU and pinpoint whether it is likely to find a common solution regarding this issue</abstract>
