Manuscript submission, review description and information for authors

The submissions addressed to the Journal should be prepared according to the journal style sheet (see Instructions for authors). The paper proposals usually range from 10 to 30 standard pages (1800 characters per page).

Authors should submit Word files to Gabriela Múcsková, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal, at gabriela.mucskova@juls.savba.sk. Non-native English language speakers are recommended to use the services of a professional English-language editor before submitting the article.

Submitted articles are first reviewed by the Editorial board. Those accepted undergo double-anonymous peer review by two reviewers. In case of conflicting reviews, a third reviewer is asked. Papers revised by the authors according to reviewers’ recommendation are returned to reviewers for approval.

Submitted manuscripts usually complete the review process within 4–5 months. The accepted papers then enter the editorial process which can last up to 2 months.
