Nordicom is an independent, non-profit publisher within the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. We are an international publisher, but with a very clear regional scope, devoted to publishing new, high-quality media research with relevance for the Nordic region. Nordicom Review is an interdisciplinary journal, and welcomes empirical and theoretical contributions from a worldwide authorship. The journal adheres to a rigorous double-blind reviewing policy and articles are published Open Access on a digital-only continuous basis.　 Nordicom Review has an open submission policy year-round, and you are invited to submit articles that contribute to a wider understanding of media, mediated communication, and journalism in the Nordic region. About the journal Since 1980, Nordicom Review has been a journal devoted to new Nordic media and communication research. The journal is published by Nordicom, a centre for Nordic media and communication research at the University of Gothenburg, supported by the Nordic Council of Ministers.  The articles are published on a digital-only, continuous basis. Special thematic issues are also published regularly.　  Nordicom Review is Open Access and published under a <A href="https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/">Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International Public licence</A> (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). The journal is included in Scopus, the largest abstract and citation database for peer-reviewed research. All issues and articles published since 2000 can be downloaded free of charge from the Sciendo publishing platform.　 　  Aims &amp; Scope Nordicom Review is an international peer-reviewed journal that provides a dedicated forum for articles that contribute to a wider understanding of media, mediated communication, and journalism in the Nordic region. This includes research on the Nordic countries as well as research with relevance for the Nordic context. Nordicom Review publishes original articles and book reviews on topics such as journalism, popular culture, media audiences, media history, political communication, public service media, media and information literacy, media education, and media production, structure, policy, and economy. Nordicom Review welcomes interdisciplinary submissions from a worldwide authorship, including both empirical and theoretical articles. Peer review Nordicom follows a double-blind peer-review process for all journal articles. A double-blind process means all submitted manuscripts are made anonymous and judged by at least two independent and external anonymous scholars appropriate for the subject. Reviewers are asked to state their recommendation about whether the article should be published when submitting their review. Reviewers are also encouraged to provide comments that are for the editors only, including concerns about misconduct or problems adequately assessing all parts of the manuscript. Reviewers are requested to disclose any potential conflict of interest. The comments provided by the reviewers inform the decision of Nordicom’s editorial team to publish or refuse the submission. Archiving Sciendo archives the contents of this journal in <A href="https://www.portico.org/">Portico</A> - digital long-term preservation service of scholarly books, journals and collections. Plagiarism Policy The editorial board is participating in a growing community of <A href="https://www.crossref.org/services/similarity-check/">Similarity Check System</A>'s users in order to ensure that the content published is original and trustworthy. Similarity Check is a medium that allows for comprehensive manuscripts screening, aimed to eliminate plagiarism and provide a high standard and quality peer-review process.
