The Technical Sciences Department of the Transylvanian Museum-Society created the Műszaki Tudományos Közlemények (Papers on Technical Science) series in 2014 with the aim to offer up-to-date information regarding the development, results and present state of the research conducted in the Carpathian basin in the field of Technical Sciences. The volume comprising the series is comprehensive, it has a profoundly inter-disciplinary character, it allows for a glimpse into a patchwork-like selection of different specialities within the broader field of technical sciences and thus it is a compact presentation of the value and diversity of the scientific interest; of its results in the Carpathian basin and also of the promise of its poteltials for development. This is the series which publishes year after year those peer-reviewed studies that were accepted for publication and presented during the Young Technical Scientists’ Conference held every year in March and also during the Conference of Technical Sciences, held in every November. The series – true to the aims assumed by the EME supports the cultivation of the Hungarian scientific language therefore the printed edition is published in Hungarian, it can be accessed in the Transylvanian Digital database (<A href="https://eda.eme.ro/handle/10598/28082">eda.eme.ro/handle/10598/28082</A>). For the purpose of broader international dissemination since 2018 we also publish online the English version of the entire series. Why should you subscribe and read? Publications of the Műszaki Tudományos Közlemények (Papers on Technical Science) series are made colorful by articles that deal with topics from many diverse topics from the larger field of Technical Sciences. They offer insight into scientific results and discoveries that, due to their positive effect on the development and efficiency of industries and technologies, have a significant influence on the quality of our lives. On one hand the published papers are peer-reviewed, therefore they reflect scientific results of a high quality that are accepted and valued by the scientific community. On the other hand those interested in these topics can gain information, not only from their own specific fields of interest, but also about the newest developments from related or even more distant topics of research. Subscriber readers therefore can be informed about the newest scientific activities and results from most fields of Technical Science. Why should you send papers? The remarkable visibility of the results by authors who publish in Műszaki Tudományos Közlemények (MTK) is due to the fact that, besides the usual readers of scientific articles from their own field of speciality, it is also accessible to readers accustomed to related or even more distant topics, therefore it’s worth publishing in MTK papers. The inter-disciplinary character multiplies the number of potential readers and, by presenting a broader view of more related or distant specialties, it can also open pathways to collaborations and research that encompasses multiple fields and the formation of inter-disciplinary research teams. Results published in MTK can be read not only by those who share an interest or are learned in the Technical Sciences in Transylvania or the larger Carpathian basin but, thanks to the online English language version, they are also accessible to specialists abroad. Following publishing the accepted papers will also be included in several well-known databases. Archiving Sciendo archives the contents of this journal in <A href="https://www.portico.org/">Portico</A> - digital long-term preservation service of scholarly books, journals and collections. Plagiarism Policy The editorial board is participating in a growing community of <A href="https://www.crossref.org/services/similarity-check/">Similarity Check System's</A> users in order to ensure that the content published is original and trustworthy. Similarity Check is a medium that allows for comprehensive manuscripts screening, aimed to eliminate plagiarism and provide a high standard and quality peer-review process.
